Shanggan Granule

Shanggan Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Clinical Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of influenza and upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), particularly those manifesting as the "Wind-Heat" pattern in TCM diagnostics. The formulation is a complex mixture of herbal extracts, typically including *Lonicera japonica* (Honeysuckle), *Forsythia suspensa*, *Radix Isatidis*, and *Scutellaria baicalensis*. Pharmacologically, Shanggan Granule exhibits broad-spectrum antiviral activity against various influenza strains (such as H1N1 and H3N2) and possesses significant anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties.
