Overview
Shanghai Biological Quadrivalent Influenza Virus Inactivated Vaccine is a seasonal influenza vaccine developed and manufactured by the Shanghai Biological Products Research Institute. It is a quadrivalent inactivated vaccine (QIV) designed to provide broad protection against four different influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). Each 0.5 ml dose is standardized to contain 15.0 μg of hemagglutinin for each of the four included strains. The vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection and is indicated for use in individuals aged 6 months and older. In clinical research sponsored by Tsinghua University, this vaccine was utilized to investigate the potential of dietary supplements, specifically Arachidonic Acid (ARA) and Tauroursodeoxycholic Acid (TUDCA), to enhance vaccine-induced immune responses in elderly populations aged 60-70 years.
