Overview
Shanghai Qingsai human rabies vaccine is a prophylactic vaccine developed by Shanghai Qingsai Biotechnology for active immunization against the rabies virus. The vaccine is produced using a chicken embryo fibroblast cell substrate and is designed to prevent rabies disease in humans following potential exposure. The development of this vaccine was initiated by the company's predecessor, Beijing Saier Fussen Biotechnology, and it received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in April 2017. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
