Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shaobei injection is a traditional Chinese medicine extract used as a sclerosing agent for the minimally invasive treatment of grade II–III internal hemorrhoids. It is administered via local injection and has been shown in clinical studies to be effective and safe, with fewer adverse effects compared to other sclerosing agents such as Xiaozhiling Injection. The mechanism of action may involve modulation of fibulin protein family members (fibulin-3 and fibulin-5), which are associated with tissue repair and fibrosis. The drug is considered an alternative to conventional sclerotherapy agents in hemorrhoid management[1][2][4].
