Shaofu Zhuyu Formula (also known as Shaofuzhuyu Decoction or Shaofu Zhuyu Tang) is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation first described by Wang Qingren in the 19th-century text *Yi Lin Gai Cuo*. It is specifically designed to treat gynecological and abdominal disorders characterized by "blood stasis" and "internal cold." The formula typically comprises ten botanical and animal-derived ingredients, including *Angelica sinensis* (Dang Gui), *Pollen Typhae* (Pu Huang), *Faeces Trogopterori* (Wu Ling Zhi), *Corydalis yanhusuo* (Yan Hu Suo), *Cinnamomum cassia* (Rou Gui), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* (Chuan Xiong), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Chi Shao), *Commiphora myrrha* (Mo Yao), *Foeniculum vulgare* (Xiao Hui Xiang), and *Zingiber officinale* (Gan Jiang). Pharmacologically, it is recognized for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and hemorheological properties, which help to improve pelvic blood flow and regulate uterine contractions.
