Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shaoling tablets (Shaoling Pian) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed by Guizhou Bailing Group Pharmaceutical for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. It is specifically formulated for patients diagnosed with "blood stasis syndrome" (xue yu zheng), a TCM classification characterized by localized skin thickening, dark red plaques, and sluggish microcirculation. The drug is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation in China (e.g., trial CTR20221473) to determine its efficacy in reducing Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) scores and its impact on relapse rates. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to the synergistic action of multiple herbal components that exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, potentially inhibiting keratinocyte proliferation and improving cutaneous microcirculation.
