SHDPS-4II

Development stage
Preclinical
01

Overview

SHDPS-4II is a sulfated derivative of an α-D-glucan (HDPS-4II) that functions as a selective blocker of aldolase A (ALDOA). ALDOA is known to promote hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) growth, making it a potential therapeutic target. SHDPS-4II has demonstrated high affinity for ALDOA and has been shown to markedly inhibit the proliferation of HCC cells both in vitro and in vivo by blocking ALDOA. Its sulfated modification enhances its affinity and anti-HCC effects compared to the original α-D-glucan.
