Shegan Mixture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral liquid preparation developed by the Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. The formulation is primarily based on the rhizome of *Belamcanda chinensis* (known as Shegan in Mandarin), which is traditionally utilized in Chinese medicine for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and phlegm-resolving properties. It is clinically employed for the treatment of various respiratory conditions, including acute upper respiratory tract infections, acute bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. The mixture is particularly targeted at alleviating symptoms such as cough and throat inflammation associated with respiratory tract infections.
