Shegan Zhike is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical drug candidate developed as a capsule for the treatment of post-infectious cough. The formulation is based on traditional herbal knowledge, likely featuring *Belamcanda chinensis* (Shegan) as a key component, which is traditionally utilized for its antitussive, expectorant, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety and tolerability in healthy human subjects. The development is sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also known as the Affiliated Second Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
