Shehuang Piyan Gao is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-Western hybrid topical ointment developed and manufactured by Chengdu Huasen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic eczema and neurodermatitis. The formulation combines the potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties of dexamethasone acetate, a synthetic glucocorticoid, with traditional ingredients such as artificial musk, sulfur, and borneol. Additionally, it contains menthol and methyl salicylate, which act as counter-irritants to provide rapid relief from itching and pain. This multi-component approach targets both the underlying inflammatory process and the symptomatic discomfort associated with chronic dermatological conditions.
