Overview

Shen-Gu granule (also known as Kidney-Bone granule) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Wuhan Jun'an Pharmaceutical. The product is designed based on the TCM principle of "tonifying the kidney to strengthen the bone," targeting bone metabolism and joint health. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis and the prevention and treatment of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP). The drug is currently marketed in China, and post-marketing clinical trials have been conducted to further evaluate its efficacy in improving bone mineral density and alleviating symptoms of joint degeneration. These studies include reevaluations registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR) to assess its performance in specific patient populations, such as those with secondary osteoporosis or chronic joint disease.
