Overview
Shen Long Decoction (参龙煎剂) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound formula developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Administered as oral granules, the decoction is formulated based on the TCM theory of "collateral disease" (络病), aiming to tonify qi, activate blood circulation, and resolve stasis to treat "lung atrophy" (肺痿). Clinical studies, such as trial ChiCTR-INR-17013653, evaluate its efficacy in improving lung function (e.g., FVC, DLCO), clinical symptoms, and quality of life in IPF patients compared to placebo.
