Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHEN26 (also known as ATV014) is an investigational oral small-molecule antiviral drug being developed by Shenzhen Kexing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Kexing Biopharm) in collaboration with Shenzhen Antiv Pharma Co., Ltd. for the treatment of COVID-19. As an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) inhibitor, SHEN26 works by blocking the synthesis of viral nucleic acids, thereby inhibiting the replication of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The drug is administered orally in capsule form and has progressed through Phase I, II, and III clinical trials, with a focus on treating mild to moderate COVID-19 in adult patients. It has been recognized as a key emergency project by China's Ministry of Science and Technology.
