Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shenbai Granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula composed of Sophorae flavescentis radix, Hedyotis diffusa, Codonopsis radix, Atractylodis macrocephalae rhizoma, Coicis semen, Coptidis rhizoma, Mume fructus and Zingiberis rhizome praeparatum. The formula is designed to "benefit Qi," invigorate the spleen, clear heat and dampness according to TCM theory. Shenbai Granules have been studied in multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials for their efficacy in reducing the recurrence of colorectal adenomas after colonoscopic resection. Clinical evidence suggests that Shenbai Granules significantly reduce adenoma recurrence rates and may promote apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells[1][2][7]. The precise molecular mechanism remains under investigation.
