Shenfu + DCBI is an intravenous combination therapy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles. [1-4] It consists of Shenfu injection, which is composed of ginseng and aconite, and deproteinized calf blood injection (DCBI). [2-9, 2-11, 1-4] The main active components of Shenfu injection are ginsenosides and aconitum alkaloids. [2-9, 2-11] This combination therapy was investigated in a clinical trial for patients with the Yang-Qi deficiency subtype of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. [1-4, 1-5] In the study, it was administered once daily for a 21-day course and was found to be effective and safe, significantly improving cognitive and functional scores compared to pre-treatment and a control group. [1-6]
