Sheng Bai Kou Fu Ye (生白口服液) is a traditional Chinese medicine oral liquid formulation primarily used as an adjunct therapy for patients experiencing leukopenia (reduced white blood cell count) induced by chemotherapy or radiotherapy in cancer treatment. Its main function is to warm the kidney and strengthen the spleen, as well as to tonify qi and blood. The formula contains a blend of herbal ingredients including Epimedium (淫羊藿), Psoralea corylifolia (补骨脂), processed Aconite root (附子（制）), Lycium barbarum fruit (枸杞子), Astragalus membranaceus root (黄芪), Spatholobus suberectus stem (鸡血藤), Rubia cordifolia root (茜草), Angelica sinensis root (当归), Phragmites communis rhizome (芦根), Ophiopogon japonicus tuber (麦冬) and Glycyrrhiza uralensis root (甘草). It is indicated for symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, cold limbs, poor appetite, loose stools, and weakness in the lower back and knees associated with spleen-kidney yang deficiency and qi-blood insufficiency. Pharmacological studies suggest it may help protect bone marrow from chemoradiotherapy-induced suppression by promoting proliferation of granulocyte progenitor cells and enhancing macrophage phagocytic function[6][7][9]. Not suitable for patients with yin deficiency fire excess, bleeding tendency, heat toxin syndromes or during pregnancy.
