Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shengbai Mixture (Shengbai Heji) is an approved Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral liquid formulation developed by Monyan Pharmaceutical (Mengyang Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of leukopenia and neutropenia, particularly those induced by chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Originally developed by Professor Shao Mengyang, the formulation consists of a complex mixture of herbs including Epimedium, Psoraleae, processed Aconite, Lycium barbarum, Astragalus, Spatholobus, Rubia, Angelica, Reed Rhizome, Ophiopogon japonicus, and Licorice. Pharmacologically, it acts by promoting the proliferation of bone marrow myeloid stem cells, enhancing macrophage phagocytic function, and protecting against bone marrow suppression caused by agents like cyclophosphamide. It is widely used in China as a supportive therapy for cancer patients undergoing myelosuppressive treatments, including those with non-small cell lung cancer.
