Overview
Shengbai oral liquid is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Hubei Mengyang Pharmaceutical for the treatment and prevention of leukopenia and neutropenia. It is particularly utilized as a supportive therapy for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, such as those with non-small cell lung cancer, to mitigate hematological toxicities. The product is composed of several herbal extracts, including *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Epimedium brevicornu*, *Lycium barbarum*, and *Psoralea corylifolia*, which are traditionally believed to tonify the Qi and Yang to stimulate bone marrow function. Clinical studies, including Phase 3 trials, have evaluated its ability to maintain neutrophil counts and improve the quality of life in patients receiving platinum-based chemotherapy.
