Overview
Shengjing Capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China for the treatment of male infertility. It is specifically indicated for conditions such as oligospermia (low sperm count), asthenospermia (low sperm motility), and spermatorrhea resulting from "kidney essence deficiency." The formula consists of 19 distinct components, including *Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum* (Deer Antler), *Radix Ginseng* (Ginseng), and *Fructus Lycii* (Wolfberry). Pharmacologically, it is thought to enhance spermatogenesis by modulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, increasing testosterone levels, and improving the antioxidant capacity of the testes. It is manufactured by several companies, most notably Guizhou Ensure Pharmaceutical.
