Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shengjing ointment is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital-made preparation developed by the Andrology Department of Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital (formerly Foshan Chancheng Central Hospital). It is specifically indicated for the treatment of male factor infertility, including conditions such as oligospermia (low sperm count), asthenozoospermia (low sperm motility), and necrozoospermia. Formulated as a concentrated oral paste (electuary), it functions according to TCM principles by tonifying the kidney and nourishing the vital essence (Jing), which are considered foundational for reproductive health. The preparation is intended to improve sperm parameters such as concentration, motility, and morphology. As a hospital-made preparation (院内制剂), its clinical use is primarily localized to the developing institution and its affiliated medical network in China.
