Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shengqing Jiangzhuo capsule (SQJZ) is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription that has demonstrated potential in alleviating chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetic nephropathy (DN). It is a compound capsule, with Quercetin identified as one of its main components. In CKD, SQJZ alleviates intestinal inflammation by downregulating CHAC glutathione-specific γ-glutamylcyclotransferase 1 (CHAC1) and subsequently inactivating the hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) pathway. For diabetic nephropathy, it exerts protective effects by activating the Keap1/Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway. Additionally, it has been shown to alleviate chronic renal failure symptoms by inhibiting the PI3k/Akt pathway, specifically by targeting PIK3R1, and by regulating the expression of NLRP3, caspase1, AQP1, and AQP2.
