Overview
Shengui capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal compound formulation used primarily for the treatment of heart failure, particularly chronic heart failure. It contains multiple active ingredients derived from various medicinal herbs. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated but network pharmacology and molecular docking studies suggest that its therapeutic effects are related to modulation of inflammatory pathways—specifically through interaction with interleukin-1β (IL-1β)—and other targets involved in cardiovascular health. Clinical studies indicate that when combined with conventional heart failure therapy, Shengui capsule can improve left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and overall clinical effectiveness in patients with chronic heart failure.
