Shengxi Huaxian recipe

Shengxi Huaxian recipe is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). This multi-ingredient preparation is believed to exert its therapeutic effects by targeting various pro-fibrotic processes. Its proposed mechanisms include inhibiting the pro-fibrotic effects of macrophages, suppressing fibroblast activation, and reducing collagen production. The formula also modulates the expression of genes such as Arg1, Mmp10, and Fgf23, and influences key signaling pathways like the PI3K-Akt pathway, ultimately aiming to alleviate lung fibrosis. The clinical study is being conducted by institutions including Lanzhou Chengguan District Science and technology plan project, Gansu University of Traditional Chinese medicine, and Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese medicine.
