Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shengxian Quyu Huazhuo granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD). The name reflects its therapeutic principles: "Shengxian" refers to regulating the lifting and sinking of qi, while "Quyu Huazhuo" refers to removing blood stasis and resolving phlegm turbidity. It is intended for patients exhibiting TCM syndromes of qi deficiency and phlegm stasis. The drug is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as an add-on to standard Western medical therapy to assess its impact on cardiopulmonary exercise capacity, angina symptoms, and the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).
