Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shengyang-Gutuo Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Hebei Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine for the treatment of postpartum stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Based on the TCM theory of Spleen-Qi sinking, the formula aims to raise Yang and stabilize the exterior to restore the supportive function of the pelvic floor. Pharmacologically, the granules are thought to enhance the expression of Type I and Type III collagen in the pelvic floor connective tissues and improve the structural integrity and contractility of the pelvic floor muscles. This mechanism increases urethral closure pressure and reduces involuntary urine leakage. It is typically administered orally as a granule formulation and is used as a proprietary hospital-made preparation.
