Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shenju Xiji is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical wash primarily utilized in the fields of gynecology and dermatology. The formulation typically consists of botanical extracts from *Sophora flavescens* (Ku Shen) and *Chrysanthemum indicum* (Ye Ju Hua), often supplemented with other herbs such as *Phellodendron amurense* (Huang Bai) and *Cnidium monnieri* (She Chuang Zi). It is designed to clear heat, dry dampness, and relieve itching. Clinically, it is indicated for the treatment of vulvovaginitis, colpitis, and various inflammatory skin conditions including eczema and pruritus. The active components, such as matrine and berberine, provide antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antipruritic effects by inhibiting the growth of pathogens and modulating inflammatory cytokine production.
