Overview
Shenmai Keli (参麦颗粒) is an over-the-counter (OTC) traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulated as oral granules. It is developed and manufactured by Hubei Wushi Pharmaceutical and other regional manufacturers. Derived from the classic TCM formula 'Shengmai San', the preparation contains active extracts from several herbal ingredients, including Red Ginseng (红参), Radix Adenophorae (南沙参), Radix Ophiopogonis (麦冬), Rhizoma Polygonati (黄精), Rhizoma Dioscoreae (山药), and Fructus Lycii (枸杞子). Shenmai Keli is primarily indicated for nourishing yin and promoting fluid production (养阴生津). It is clinically used to treat symptoms such as emaciation with sallow complexion, lack of body fluid and thirst, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, loss of appetite, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, and neurasthenia.
