Overview
Shenqi Naokang is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Guangdong Xinbao Pharmaceutical, primarily available in oral capsule form. The formulation is composed of several herbal ingredients, most notably *Panax ginseng* (Ren Shen) and *Panax notoginseng* (San Qi), alongside other components such as *Epimedium*, *Lycium barbarum*, and *Salvia miltiorrhiza*. It is designed to tonify the liver and kidney, replenish essence and marrow, and activate blood circulation to resolve stasis. Clinically, it is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with cerebral arteriosclerosis and cerebrovascular insufficiency, including dizziness, tinnitus, forgetfulness, and physical fatigue. The pharmacological effects are attributed to the synergistic action of ginsenosides and notoginsenosides, which are thought to improve cerebral blood flow, reduce blood viscosity, and provide neuroprotective benefits.
