Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shenqi Pill, also known as Shenqi Wan or Jin Kui Shen Qi Wan (Golden Cabinet Kidney Qi Pill), is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula traditionally used to tonify Kidney Yang. The formula typically consists of eight herbal ingredients: Rehmannia glutinosa, Dioscorea opposita, Cornus officinalis, Alisma orientale, Poria cocos, Paeonia suffruticosa, Cinnamomum cassia, and Aconitum carmichaelii. In modern clinical research, it is being evaluated as an adjunctive therapy for prostate cancer, including hormone-sensitive (HSPC) and castration-resistant (CRPC) forms. The formula is intended to "warm the kidney," improve patient constitution, and potentially enhance the anti-tumor effects of standard therapies like androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and abiraterone while mitigating treatment-related side effects.
