Shenqisuxin

Shenqisuxin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preparation developed by Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD) and stable angina pectoris. Formulated as a granule, it is specifically designed for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of 'Qi and Yin deficiency,' a common clinical pattern in chronic cardiovascular conditions. The preparation works by tonifying Qi, nourishing Yin, and resolving blood stasis to improve myocardial blood supply. Clinical studies have demonstrated that Shenqisuxin can effectively reduce the frequency and severity of angina attacks, improve exercise tolerance, and modulate biomarkers associated with inflammation and endothelial dysfunction, such as C-reactive protein and endothelin-1. It is currently utilized as a hospital preparation in China and has undergone Phase 2 clinical evaluation.
