Overview
Shenshu Granules (肾舒颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) compound preparation developed and manufactured by Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. under the time-honored brand Dinglu. It is an approved pharmaceutical in China, primarily indicated for the treatment of various urinary tract infections, including acute and chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urethritis. The formulation is designed according to TCM principles to clear heat, detoxify, and induce diuresis to relieve strangury (painful or difficult urination). It is composed of several botanical ingredients, including *Hedyotis diffusa*, *Polygonum aviculare*, *Dianthus superbus*, *Lygodium japonicum*, *Lophatherum gracile*, *Rheum palmatum*, and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis*. Pharmacologically, the preparation exhibits antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic properties, making it effective against common uropathogens such as *Escherichia coli*.
