Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shensu Ganmao (also referred to as Shensunanmin in some clinical trial contexts) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Guangdong China Resources Shunfeng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of the common cold and allergic rhinitis. Based on the classical "Shen Su Yin" formula, it typically contains a combination of herbal extracts including Ginseng (*Radix Ginseng*), Perilla Leaf (*Folium Perillae*), Pueraria (*Radix Puerariae*), Peucedanum (*Radix Peucedani*), Poria (*Poria*), Bitter Orange (*Fructus Aurantii*), Platycodon (*Radix Platycodonis*), Scutellaria (*Radix Scutellariae*), Pinellia (*Rhizoma Pinelliae*), and Glycyrrhiza (*Radix Glycyrrhizae*). The formulation is specifically indicated for resolving the exterior, transforming phlegm, and supplementing Qi, making it suitable for cold symptoms in patients with underlying Qi deficiency. A Phase 1 clinical trial (CTR20170614) was conducted in China to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary pharmacodynamics of the tablet formulation in adults with the common cold.
