Overview
Shenyu Yangxin Capsule (参萸养心胶囊) is a traditional Chinese medicine formulation primarily used for cardiovascular conditions, especially coronary heart disease with symptoms of ventricular premature beats attributed to qi and yin deficiency combined with blood stasis in the heart vessels. It functions by benefiting qi and nourishing yin, activating blood circulation to unblock collaterals, and calming the mind. The capsule contains multiple herbal ingredients including ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicus (maidong), Cornus officinalis (shanyurou), Salvia miltiorrhiza (danshen), Ziziphus jujuba seed (suanzaoren), Taxillus chinensis (sangjisheng), Paeonia lactiflora root bark (chishao), Eupolyphaga sinensis (tubiechong), Aucklandia lappa root bark (gansong), Coptis chinensis rhizome (huanglian), Schisandra chinensis fruit (nanwuweizi) and fossilized bone powder dragon bone. These components work synergistically to nourish the heart and kidney yin, promote blood circulation, clear heat toxins, inhibit myocardial fibrosis via targets such as TNF, IL6, IL1B, VEGFA and STAT3 signaling pathways. Clinically it is used for symptoms like palpitations, shortness of breath on exertion, fatigue, chest tightness or pain, insomnia with dreams or night sweats[2][4][5][6].
