Shenzhu Guanxin Fang (SGR) is a traditional Chinese herbal compound medicine primarily investigated by academic institutions such as Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. It is a multi-herb formulation composed of Radix Ginseng, Rhizoma Atractylodis, Radix Notoginseng, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Hirudo medicinalis, Radix Panacis quinquefolium, and Folium Nelumbinis. Administered as granules, the formulation is designed according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles to enhance qi, accelerate blood circulation, and eliminate intravascular phlegm. It is being evaluated for the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD), stable angina pectoris, and intermediate coronary lesions, with clinical research focusing on its effects on exercise tolerance, coronary atherosclerosis, and clopidogrel resistance in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
