Overview
Shexiang Huayu Xingnao (SX) granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Hospital (T.C.M.) Affiliated to Southwest Medical University for the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). It is based on the Fengyaokaixuan therapeutic method. Preclinical studies indicate that SX granules exert neuroprotective effects by reducing brain tissue damage, neuronal apoptosis, and astrocyte activation. Network pharmacology analysis suggests the drug targets multiple signaling pathways, including HRAS, MAPK3 (ERK1), and STAT3, which are involved in inflammation and cell survival. Clinical evaluation focuses on its ability to improve blood-brain barrier permeability and accelerate intracranial hematoma absorption in patients with small-to-medium ICH.
