Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shezhishenhuang ointment (also known under the brand name Pibao) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical formulation developed by Guangdong Taiantang Pharmaceutical. It is approved in China for the treatment of subacute eczema, tinea manuum, tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris, particularly those presenting with the TCM pattern of damp-heat accumulation in the skin. The ointment is formulated from several natural active ingredients, including snake fat, red ginseng, Sophora flavescens (kushen), Pseudolaris amabilis bark (tujingpi), and aloe vera, which collectively exert anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and antifungal effects to clear heat, dry dampness, and relieve itching.
