The shigella flexneri 2a-shigella sonnei bivalent conjugate vaccine is a bivalent conjugate vaccine designed to prevent shigellosis caused by *Shigella flexneri 2a* and *Shigella sonnei*. It consists of O-specific polysaccharides (O-SP) purified from the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of *S. flexneri 2a* and *S. sonnei*, which are covalently bonded to tetanus toxoid (TT) as a carrier protein. This conjugation aims to enhance the immune response, particularly in young children, by inducing protective antibodies against these two prevalent *Shigella* serotypes. Developed by Beijing Zhifei Lvzhu Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd, the vaccine is currently undergoing Phase III clinical trials to evaluate its efficacy, immunogenicity, and safety in infants and children aged 6 months to 5 years. Each intramuscular dose contains 10 µg of *S. flexneri 2a* polysaccharide and 10 µg of *S. sonnei* polysaccharide.
