Overview

Shihogyejitang is a traditional herbal medicine formula used in East Asian medicine, particularly in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese traditional medicine. It is a combination of Soshihotang and Gyejitang, and is known to exhibit antidepressant effects by increasing the levels of monoamine neurotransmitters. The formula has been used to treat various conditions including epilepsy, restless leg syndrome (RLS), and related symptoms. It contains several herbs including Paeoniae Radix, which is believed to be a key component in its effectiveness for treating RLS through activation of adenosine A1 receptors.
