Shiling Oil is a traditional topical external analgesic originating from Hong Kong, formulated as a multi-ingredient herbal medicated oil. It contains a concentrated blend of menthol crystal (33%), methyl salicylate (30%), eucalyptus oil (28%), camphor (5%), lavender oil (2%), and dill oil (2%). The product acts as a counterirritant and local analgesic, providing temporary relief for minor aches and pains associated with muscles and joints, including headaches, arthritis, strains, and sprains. Originally developed in 1923, it is marketed as an over-the-counter (OTC) traditional medicine and is registered in Hong Kong.
