Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shilintong Granules are a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) single-herb preparation derived from *Desmodium styracifolium* (Osbeck) Merr. (commonly known as Jin Qian Cao or Gold Coin Herb). The granules are prepared via water extraction and alcohol precipitation to concentrate the active botanical components, which include various flavonoids, phenolic acids, and other organic compounds. Shilintong Granules are widely used to clear damp-heat, promote diuresis, and expel stones. The primary clinical indications include urinary stones (lithangiuria), pyelonephritis, and cholecystitis. The formulation is marketed by several manufacturers, including Chongqing Peidu Pharmaceutical, Sichuan Xuyang Pharmaceutical, and Beijing Tongrentang.
