Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shiwei Ruxiang Wan is a traditional Tibetan medicine (TTM) developed and manufactured by Xizang Ganlu Tibetan Medicine. It is formulated as an oral pill containing ten active ingredients, with Frankincense (*Boswellia carterii*) serving as a primary component alongside others such as *Terminalia chebula* and *Acorus calamus*. In the framework of Tibetan medicine, it is specifically indicated for "yellow water" (Chu-ser) disorders, which correspond to inflammatory conditions involving joint effusion and skin exudation. The drug is primarily used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and inflammatory skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis. It functions by exerting anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, helping to reduce joint swelling, alleviate pain, and dry up pathological fluid accumulations.
