Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shofu Flowable Resin is a light-cured flowable dental composite resin developed for restorative dentistry. It incorporates Shofu’s proprietary Giomer technology using S-PRG (Surface Pre-Reacted Glass-ionomer) filler based on fluoroboroaluminosilicate glass. This bioactive filler enables the material to release and recharge fluoride and other beneficial ions, which can help reduce secondary caries, neutralize acid in the oral environment, minimize sensitivity, and strengthen tooth structure over time[6][7][9]. The resin is designed for use as a base or liner in Class I & II cavities, small posterior restorations, undercut block out, minor repair of direct resin restorations, and restoration of deciduous teeth[9]. It features high filler content (73 wt%), low volumetric shrinkage (~3.5%), high flexural strength (119 MPa), rapid polymerization at 4 mm depth of cure (>95% at 10 seconds), self-leveling handling properties for easy adaptation to cavity walls, superior radiopacity (2.5 Al:mm), natural shade stability matching tooth structure aesthetics[6][9]. The product is manufactured by Shofu Dental Corporation.
