Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ShotCAR (MUC1) is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Hauul Bio using its proprietary ShotCAR platform. The therapy targets Mucin 1 (MUC1), a transmembrane glycoprotein that is frequently overexpressed and aberrantly glycosylated in various solid tumors, including breast, lung, and colorectal cancers. By engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR specific for MUC1, the therapy aims to induce a targeted immune response against malignant cells. The ShotCAR platform is specifically designed to enhance the efficacy and persistence of CAR-T cells within the immunosuppressive microenvironment typically associated with solid tumors.
