Overview
Shou Zu Ning Fang (手足宁方), also known as Shouzu Ning Decoction or Shou-Zu-Ning Decoction, is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed for the treatment of hand-foot syndrome (HFS), particularly grade III HFS induced by multi-kinase inhibitors (MKIs) in cancer patients. The decoction is used to alleviate symptoms such as pain, redness, swelling, and dysfunction of the hands and feet associated with this adverse drug reaction. Its mechanism of action is based on TCM principles and may involve anti-inflammatory effects and skin barrier repair; however, specific molecular targets are not well characterized in Western pharmacology. Clinical studies have been conducted to evaluate its efficacy and safety in this context[1][2].
