Overview
Shouhui Tongbian Capsule (developed under the clinical name Yunchang Capsule or YunChang Collocystis) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) proprietary product developed by Lunan Hope Pharmaceutical for the treatment of functional constipation, particularly cases characterized by deficiency of both qi and yin complicated by internal accumulation of toxic pathogens. The formulation consists of eight herbal ingredients: Ginseng, Aloe, Polygonum multiflorum (He Shou Wu), Donkey-hide gelatin (Ejiao), Goji berry, Cassia seed, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Immature Bitter Orange. It works by promoting intestinal movement, shortening defecation time, increasing fecal water content, and regulating the gut microbiota and bile acid metabolism.
