shPROK1-1 is an experimental short hairpin RNA (shRNA) construct designed to silence the expression of the **PROK1** (Prokineticin 1) gene. In preclinical research, specifically in pancreatic cancer models, shPROK1-1 has been utilized to investigate the therapeutic potential of targeting the PROK1 pathway. Silencing PROK1 with this construct has been shown to inhibit tumor growth, reduce angiopoiesis, and promote apoptosis in vivo. These anti-tumor effects are associated with the inhibition of the **PI3K/AKT/mTOR** signaling pathway and the modulation of downstream molecules such as PCNA-1, cyclin D1, Bcl-2, Bax, and cleaved caspase-3. It serves as a tool for validating PROK1 as a target for pancreatic carcinoma therapy.
