Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHR-1501 is an interleukin-15 (IL-15) superagonist fusion protein developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine for the treatment of cancer, including non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and other advanced malignancies. It is a recombinant human Fc fusion protein composed of IL-15 cross-linked with the high-affinity binding sushi domain of the IL-15 receptor. Upon administration, SHR-1501 activates and increases natural killer (NK) cells and memory CD8+ T cells without stimulating regulatory T cells, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. The drug has demonstrated significant suppression of tumor growth and metastasis in preclinical models, as well as activation of effector immune cells in non-human primates[1][2][3][4][5].
