Overview

SHR-1707 is a novel humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets amyloid-beta (Aβ) fibrils and monomers. By binding to these forms of Aβ, it blocks the formation of Aβ plaques and promotes microglial phagocytosis of Aβ, aiming to reduce brain amyloid deposition—a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease pathology. Preclinical studies demonstrated reduced brain Aβ deposition in animal models. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's disease. Clinical trials have shown that single intravenous doses are safe and well tolerated in both young adult and elderly subjects, with pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles supportive for further development[1][2][3][6].
