Overview

SHR-1819 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the interleukin-4 receptor alpha subunit (IL-4Rα). By binding to IL-4Rα, it blocks signaling from both IL-4 and IL-13, key cytokines involved in type 2 inflammatory responses. This mechanism positions SHR-1819 as a potential therapy for diseases driven by type 2 inflammation, such as atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis, chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps, asthma, and allergic rhinitis. Preclinical studies have shown that SHR-1819 inhibits cell proliferation and STAT6 activation induced by IL-4/IL-13 and reduces disease symptoms in animal models of asthma, atopic dermatitis, and allergic rhinitis. The drug is administered subcutaneously[3][4][5][7].
