SHR-1894

SHR-1894 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα) subunit. By binding to IL-4Rα, the drug inhibits the signaling pathways of both interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are critical cytokines in the propagation of Type 2 (Th2) immune responses. Developed by Suzhou Suncadia Biopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals, SHR-1894 is primarily being investigated for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions, including atopic dermatitis and potentially asthma. Its mechanism is analogous to that of dupilumab, aiming to reduce the inflammatory cascade associated with chronic skin and airway diseases.
